I have used this to cut entire inch thick books in half and it does it in a perfectly straight line. I love this thing.

I use it to cut anywhere from 100-150 sheets of standard paper at a time and it goes through easily with a nice straight edge.

Love it. Cuts 125+ of heavy card stock, without any trouble at all. Definitely a time saver for our offic.

Really does the job

This cutter mostly gets the job done. There were some quality issues such as the cutting blade not hitting the stop bar evenly at the bottom of the stroke which I fixed in about 2 hours. Also the stop bar was jammed in because it was a little too long instead of being held by the two thumb screws underneath. I fixed this as well. The instructions are bizzare and unusable. The intent was to tell you how the stop bar, red plastic, may be rotated or flipped end for end in order to give you a nice new cutting surface when the blade groove has become too deep and cuts the last page poorly. I figured the guy that had to assemble this just couldnt do the job well in the 27 seconds he was given. I like this cutter and since I've set it up right I like it a lot more. Good luck with yours.

I needed a block cutter for occasional use and this one is perfect.This is the best value block cutter available and it works well.Happy with my purchase.

This is a very good cutter. I use it to make postcards from stacks of card-stock. Cuts straight and quick. There were no instructions included, so I had to set it up just by studying the unit and figuring it out the best I could. There were two handles to put on; the long handle on the cutter, and I finally figured out that the tightening handle was on backwards, for easier packing I guess. Still experimenting with how thick of a stack of cards to cut. So far about an inch, and it slices right through. Just don't order and ask for expedited shipping. I did, but it did not ship out any faster. The shippers did refund the expedited charge to me at least.

Cuts like a champ! No joke, up to 400 pages without them sliding around.

I have had bookbinding as a hobby during the last year. This guillotine will be a big help and will sabe me a lot of time. In the preliminary tests, it has worked perfect.
