Let's start with the good, I paid £65 for the 20kg vevor anvil and it was at my doorstep the next day. Not bad for a hefty hunk of steel(well, it's meant to be?) perfect size for something smaller and portable for home use or on the workshop bench. Pritchel and Hardy holes are welcome useful additions. Large(for its weight) workface nice and flat and well centred mass over stout legs so doesn't have the tendency to rock or jump when working hard. Now the negatives. Pritchel hole on mine is not plumb and has casting defects inside. Hardy hole edges razor sharp and chewed to bits. And the overall finish gives the impression that it was the last one cast on a Friday and the first one finished by the apprentice on Monday morning... BUT, I reiterate, this was a £65 new anvil delivered to my door the next day. Yes, the overall finish quality may be lacking compared to the product picture, but for the sake of 20 minutes cleaning the edges up and radiusing your preffered shoulders you really can't go far wrong with this product unless you are really pushing it's limits or abusing it with a 10lb sledge. Highly recommend for the hobbyist blacksmith, perfect for a small easy moved setup or as a cost effective entry to the hobby
