I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she loves this. There are lots of cheap plastic alternatives around but pay the money and get one of these. Really good quality and makes great buttons. We opted for the 1000 package and it’s well worth it. My daughter uses this for her personal craft business selling badges now along with other items. Really do recommend.
This was a handy little badge maker that I needed in the office for people to create there own badges. It is easy to use and easy to set up. When you get the hang of the process is so simple.

This is a proper quality piece of equipment - I’m so pleased my son received this for Christmas rather than a toy version. It did take a little time to get the hang of it (the instructions could be a little clearer). But once you’ve got the knack it’s really robust and my 11 year old has been using over and over to make fun badges for friends and grandparents. Main thing to remember is that there is a difference between the L and the R. When using the first L side, the middle disc should rest over the pins then in the R side the middle disc should be positioned so that the pins go through the disc holes.
A well-made machine at a very good price. I like that the different sizes of dies can be bought separately and have already purchased a set of 56mm dies for it.
My only "beef" is having to put the button back into the die at "approximately 11 o'clock" compared to the face being at "12 o'clock";
if you don't get it right, the badge will be lop-sided.
Other than that, a very good, solid machine
Works well. I suspect other reviews are from people who have not made effort to look online on how to actually use a badge making machine. Only criticism I have is guidance on graphic size is very limited. Would have been nice if manufacturers included a template. I had to make my own template as other online ones did not align right with my graphic. Also circle cutter is flimsy.
I'm about to send out a package -- I have so many mail thieves (people have been busted, and many are using folks' faces and likenesses funny, many monkeyshines around here) and I'm reading the energy for "fan packages, instruction packs, charity packs, welcome to your new home outreach". These are great for farm outreach, market building for produce, area laughter, and also artwork.
After reading many reviews that the badge maker did not work, and finding I had the same problem...I read the directions. In order for the parts to crimp, you must bring the handle all the way down and hear a kind of click when you add the pin back. If you do not bring it all the way down, it will not crimp properly. Once I figured that out-- it works great!! Easy to use. fast. Love it!!!
