Based on some of the negative reviews I was worried it wouldn’t be able to split logs as advertised. Once you get use to it, it does a pretty good job of splitting even the hardest of logs. It’s a good idea to experiment with the angle and way in which you chop larger ones. I’m happy with my chopped logs that I’ve had for ages that are too big for the burner.

Not fully tried this out yet with all the rain we've been having but well constructed and very solid. The securing screws might need to be a bit longer, Not sure whether the logs I have will fit within the ring, but that's not the fault of the product ! Overall, pleased with my purchase.
