I bought the smaller '6L' sized press, to extract juice from the apples from my garden, for fermenting into cider. This little press works remarkably well, better than I expected. About 20 - 30 apples can be pressed at a time, having chopped them into pulp, in my case with an attachment for the electric drill, in a bucket. I was pleasantly surprised how much juice that yields - about 3 to 3.5l of juice. Then you have to clean, do more apple pulping, refill and repeat. I had enough apples for four presses, so I got about 13l in total. The hardest part of the work is the clean-up of everything afterwards! I was also pleasantly surprised by how well made this press is. It is sturdy and robust and should last for years. I fixed mine to a strong wooden base, and also made 2 extra of the wooden blocks that go at the top of the press. These are needed, to get enough squeezing of the pulp bag, before the turning handle encounters the top of the press. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
